Theodore Roosevelt spoke often about the (then) new habit of addressing citizens as "Irish-American", "Italian-American"....

"We can have no "50-50" allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all."

I certainly agree! We can not continue to divide our allegiance in such a way. I have Cherokee Blood, I have Irish Blood... But I am AMERICAN only. I am sick of playing the "African-American" game.... If your FIRST Alligance is to Africa... then by all means, because this is America, you are free to return to your beloved Country! This must be true for all the Hyphenated-Americans out there.

Let us stop this nonsense. We must see a man or woman for what they are; For what they do with their lives; For the service they render themselves, their country, and their fellow Americans! We can no longer live in the past. What is done is done. Let the dead "slave" dog lie! Be the best man/woman you can be regardless of your family's past conditions... That is true for all. Just because a person's father may have been a horse-theft... Doesn't mean a damn thing if the son is a respectable man.
